Service levels at a glance
Amazon MCF
- Standard: 3 business days, click to delivery
- Expedited: 2 business days, click to delivery
- Priority (1 business day) exists but is not priced on the public rate card, so it is not modeled here
- Ships from Amazon FBA inventory to any sales channel
- Unbranded packaging by default for off-Amazon orders
Walmart WFS
- Fast nationwide delivery for standard items
- Heavier items may ship by ground and take longer
- Primarily fulfills Walmart Marketplace orders; multichannel use runs through Walmart's multichannel solutions
- No signup or monthly subscription fees
When each program may fit
MCF tends to fit when you already hold FBA inventory and want one pool of stock to serve Amazon and off-Amazon channels, when multi-unit orders are common (per-unit fees drop sharply at 2, 3, and 4+ units), or when you need a published 2-day option across channels.
WFS tends to fit when Walmart Marketplace is a meaningful channel, when items are light and small (the ladder starts at $3.45 under 1 lb), or when you want low off-peak storage at $0.75 per cubic foot and simple weight-based pricing.
Methodology, sources, and exclusions
What the estimate includes
- MCF: base pick, pack, and ship fees by size tier, shipping speed, and units per order from the official MCF rate card (effective June 1, 2026), plus the published 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge
- MCF storage: FBA monthly storage rates for non-dangerous goods from Amazon's MCF pricing page
- WFS: standard and big & bulky fulfillment fees, apparel, hazmat, under-$10, and oversize add-ons, and monthly storage from Walmart's published WFS pricing (effective April 1, 2025)
- Shipping weight follows each provider's published formula, including dimensional weight at L × W × H ÷ 139 and WFS's 0.25 lb packaging allowance
What it excludes
- Holiday peak fulfillment fee increases (October 15 – January 14 for MCF)
- Discount programs such as MCF Preferred Pricing, SIPP discounts, or negotiated account terms
- Returns processing, inbound transportation, removal, and disposal fees
- Aged and long-term inventory surcharges (WFS 366+ day storage, FBA aged-inventory fees)
- Remote-area delivery surcharges, lithium battery fees, and carrier-block surcharges
- Marketplace referral or selling fees on either channel
Results are directional estimates intended to support comparison and planning — not financial advice or a quote. Actual charges vary based on account terms, inventory, order characteristics, destinations, and provider policies. Verify against each provider's current rate card before making fulfillment decisions.
